Workshops

We specialise in English, ESL, literature, editing, creative writing, essays and assignment writing up to and including Degree level.

We offer informal, two-hour workshops on The Legal Aspects of Writing, Writing a CV and Finding Your Voice; to four three-hour training sessions on DIY Book Production, The Editing Process and Creating an Effective Online Presence; to twelve three-hour intensives on Producing a Book or Anthology.

Choose from a variety of program options that cater to your individual group’s needs and abilities. We aim to produce a fun and interactive learning environment, led by our experienced, energetic and inspirational workshop facilitator.

Blogging for Beginners
Publish your thoughts and have a voice on the web. Participants are guided through the process of creating a blog, choosing an appropriate design, writing their first few posts, and attracting a readership and encouraging them to return.
Required – access to a computer and the internet for every participant.
Preferred – computer lab with projector.
Sessions – ten hours in total, divided between five to six weeks.

Social Media for Writers, Bloggers and Businesses
Learn the strengths and weaknesses of popular social media platforms and how to promote yourself, your creative pursuits and/or your business.
Required – access to a computer and the internet for every participant.
Preferred – computer lab with projector.
Sessions – eight hours in total, divided between four to six weeks.

Creative Writing Short Course
Do you have a story inside you, yearning to be told? Learn how to get into a creative mood, silence your inner critic and keep the words flowing. This workshop leads directly into our editing and book production programs.
Sessions – six to ten two-hour, or one and a half hour sessions.

Computer Game Design for Children
Avoid unnecessary jargon and complex programming. Learn how to create your own game on an easy-to-use program and share it with your friends. Ideal for enthusiastic 8-12 year old computer gamers with little to no experience in game design.
Required – access to a computer and the internet for every participant.
Preferred – computer lab with projector.
Sessions – six two-hour sessions, or eight one and a half hour sessions.

Making Handmade Books
Create a series of handmade books, from a collection of flash fiction or poetry to a hand-bound, ninety-four page journal.
Sessions – four two-hour sessions, or six one and a half hour sessions. $10 material fee per participant.
